Poetry and it's importance

                What is the value of learning about poetry, and is it important? The value of learning poetry is that i get to relate to  how a poet feels. Or interpret it into my own meaning and grow as my own person. Do i think poetry is important? I don't really care for poetry itself but if i can relate to the poem then yes, i enjoy it more. If its hard for me to understand then i really don't enjoy it. DO i feel the importance of it being taught in school? Well if it isn't taught in school then i don't feel people would take the time to learn about it on there own unless they really liked it.

The American Dream

                      How do i persoanlly define the american dream? To me the American Dream is not everyone being happy and perfect and having no conflict. Life would simply be boring. The American Dream to me is for everyone to have there own form of happiness. Each family to have there own success but not taking it to far. For every working family to to get the same rights as the non working family, and finally to have a little conflict to keep life interesting. Yes the white picket fences and golden retreavers are nice, but a little out of the box can be nice too.
